The PetSafe Bark Control Collar is a perfect solution. Its various features make the training phase go quickly and effectively and can usually break the excessive barking habit permanently.
The Bark Control Collar begins with its “Perfect Bark” sensor. This sensor is the most effective bark detection available, using both sound and vibration to detect when your dog is barking. Rival products generally only use one or the other, which often leads to false triggers from sources other than your dog’s bark. A static correction pulse is emitted only if both the vibrations and the sound from the bark match.
The “Temperament Learning System” technology is the second level of anti-bark training the Bark Control Collar offers. Temperament Learning System utilizes software that tracks the number of corrections needed to substantially reduce nuisance barks.
When your dog begins the training the collar will automatically use the low level correction settings. But, as the barking continues the level of the correction charge will increase with the barking (up to level 10). Eventually the dog will stop the barking as it begins to associate the sensation with the habit. As the dog has learned to reduce barking, so to are the warning corrections reduced.
After your dog barks 15 times or more within 1 minute and 20 seconds, the Petsafe Bark Control Collar shut downs temporarily. This ensures safety in situations where prolonged barking is necessary.
